Beginning March 12, 2012 this information blog for Unity of Shreveport will no longer post current information.  All information regarding Unity of Shreveport is now available at the official website:

The new internet presence links us with other worldwide Unity efforts as well as offering an array of services.  For instance, you can listen to Rev. Joy’s Sunday messages, or Unity FM.  Click and download the latest Unity of Shreveport E-newsletter.  Make a prayer request for Unity of Shreveport and Silent Unity.  Link to Facebook.  Thanks to webmaster Jeremy McGlasson and Erica Rosas for coordinating this project – an important step towards 21st century Unity of Shreveport.

NEW WEBSITE GOES LIVE MARCH 12, 2012!

Volunteer of the Year for 2011, Jeremy McGlasson, has announced that the Unity of Shreveport website, www.unityofshreveport.org begins March 12.  At that time this site will direct viewers to the new URL which is the central location for Unity of Shreveport information.

Homecoming, Picnic, and Blessing of the Animals

Sunday, September 18 is the annual Homecoming service, celebrating 60 years of Unity in Shreveport.  The previously cancelled picnic on the Unity property on Kingston Road and Blessing of the Animals were combined with Homecoming to create...morning rain!  A perfect setting for an outing.

Prosperity!

Sunday, September 4, 2011 was cloudy, cool, with a light drizzle from time  to time - the perfect background for the engaging The Four Spiritual Laws of Prosperity workshop by Edwene Gaines.  At the Sunday Service Edwene summarized those laws: 
  • tithe to the person or place where you have received your spiritual nourishment
  • set clear-cut, tangible goals
  • forgive everyone all the time, especially yourself
  • seek, discover, and follow your divine purpose-which will help you to assign significance to your life and bring a passion to all that you do
The afternoon workshop explored the factors in more detail including questions from those attending.
